Summer of Success - 2004

 

The Comets entered the 2004 season with 10 teams, hoping the summer would be filled with good times and great basketball.  The Comets far exceeded expectations finishing the season sending 7 teams to Division 1 Nationals and 2 teams to Division 2 Nationals.   Below are the highlights from the summer:

 

·                     The Middle Atlantic hosted the 1^st Championship Sunday – the Comets had the most teams represented in the championship games (11, 12, 13, 15, and 16).

·                     10A: Middle Atlantic 3^rd place regionals, qualified for Division 1 Nationals

·                     10B: Champions of Division 2 Regionals, qualified for Division 2 Nationals

·                     11A: Middle Atlantic Champions, qualified for Division 1 Nationals

·                     12A: Middle Atlantic Champions, finished Top 24 at Division 1 Nationals

·                     12B: Middle Atlantic 3^rd place finish, qualified for Division 1 Nationals

·                     13A: Middle Atlantic 2^nd place finish, finished Top 24 at Division 1 Nationals

·                     13B: Qualified for Division 2 Nationals

·                     14A: Went 2-3 in regionals

·                     15A: Middle Atlantic 2^nd place finish, finished Top 20 at Division 1 Nationals

·                     16A: Middle Atlantic 2^nd place finish, qualified for Division 1 Nationals
